Do you know about all the creatures living under your feet when you tube down Deep Creek? Do you know the fish that Cherokee are trying to preserve in our rivers?

Come to the “Conservation Mashup” a meeting consisting of short videos, even shorter presentations, cool facts, and get-involved opportunities.  The program will be led by the Watershed Association of the Tuckasegee River.  It will be a public kick-off for the Kids in the Creek adventure planned for next September.

High school students, adults, all the way to retired elders, are invited to this public WATR meeting on Tues Feb 4 (rescheduled due to snow and cold) at the Fellowship Hall of the Bryson City United Methodist Church.  The program will run from 6:00 to 7:30.  Come earlier at 5:30 for snacks and socializing!

Also there will be a WATR Input Meeting on January 28

This Meeting will become ***Conservation Mashup***.  Brutal arctic cold caused us to reschedule this meeting from earlier this month.  This get-together is aimed more at youth and adults who seek active ways to improve our local environment.  If you have questions, call the WATR office at 488 8418 or view www.WATRnc.org.
